Good Friday

Most teenagers focus on the fact that they do not have school on Friday and so they can spend the day resting and having fun. They forget the entire reason we get that day off and that's for Good Friday. Good Friday is when we Christians celebrate the crucifixion and death of our savior and Lord Jesus Christ. He is the reason why we are able to live with God after our lives on Earth and Good Friday is when we celebrate the moment in time that took away our sins. Good Friday is great because we get school off but, we should also not forget why we get it off.

Our Duty

We as followers of God are to worship him and do everything in His name and give all of the glory that we obtain to him. He is a loving father and we are his adoptive sons and we are called to be stewards of the world he created for us. Our mission is to go around the world spreading his word. All we have to do to get His grace in our hearts is accept Him. If we do in fact accept Him then we will have the ability through his love and his grace to complete the goals we are called upon to do.

A Jesuit Pope

A few weeks ago there was a new pope elected. His name is Pope Francis I and he is the first Jesuit pope and the first pope from the Americas. I attend a Jesuit high school so I feel that the new pope helps me to be closer and more related to the pope and God than I used to feel. I feel that this new pope will do his job and help us answer the call to holiness.

Our Plan for Using this Blog to Help you

This is a blog for teenagers and people associated with teenagers. It is here to teach teenagers how to try and become closer to God and to be ready for God whenever he may call us. We plan on our readers to first have faith in God and love him before reading this. We then hope that you learn about God and how to become closer to God from us in the form of our blog. After you are informed we hope that we can continue to teach you about God and be able to help you with any of the problems that you may have during your attempt to become closer to God.
