Words
can be good or bad. They can be said to help someone or to hurt someone. Many
of the things we say, we don’t think about them before they come out of our
mouths. And sometimes, we don’t think about the words that have just come out
of our mouths. Profanity, however, are words that should be used with caution
if they are to be used at all. I would recommend that you never say any profane
word. Besides not being appropriate in almost all settings, profanity does not
add anything positive to a conversation. The words that fall under the category of “profanity” are not appropriate for this blog, but we all know what they are. Profane words hurt the ears of God, especially if you used the Lord’s name in a cuss word. That’s how I keep myself from using bad words: I think about how God feels when I use those words, that I am bending his ear every time I cuss or use the Lord’s name in vain. I think that is a good thing for everyone to think about when they are about to say a bad word. Ask yourself if you really want to hurt God’s ear before you say your next swear word.
